Bid farewell to Kwun Chung Community Vaccination Centre
Bid farewell to Kwun Chung Community Vaccination Centre
(16 December 2021, Hong Kong) Kwun Chung Community Centre (KWCVC), operated by the Virtus Medical Group, has served the community for nearly two years since 26 Feb 2021. Today, it announced the completion of its historic mission and bid farewell to the public. Being one of the first 5 community vaccination centres launched in Hong Kong, KWCVC is committed to providing top-quality services to the public, come rain or shine. About 700,000 jabs of Sinovac have been administered to the public since commencement. To cope with the massive demand for the COVID vaccine jabs and to maintain service quality, we have mobilized more than 30 doctors and 80 nurses for the operation. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to all the medical staff for their assistance, allowing more people to get the COVID vaccine jabs, and to mark a milestone in Hong Kong’s anti-pandemic history. I would also like to thank the Civil Service Bureau of the HKSAR government for its administrative and operational support and assistance. We are getting through a tough time fighting the pandemic. The vaccination rate has climbed to 83% as of today with the cooperation of all sectors of society. I believe the community is now steadily moving forward along the path to normalcy.
