Graduated as physiotherapist from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) in 2000, Dr Arthur Lee had worked in local public hospitals, practising in all areas of physiotherapy. Having a huge interest in sports rehabilitation, Dr Lee attained his Master's Degree in Sports Physiotherapy in 2005 and joined the Sports Medicine Centre of Hong Kong Sports Institute in the same year. During his years at the Hong Kong Sports Institute, Dr Lee gained valuable experience in treating both acute and chronic sports injuries. Dr Lee's professional qualifications and experience in sports rehabilitation has allowed him to be a clinical educator of physiotherapy students at PolyU, and a part-time postgraduate program lecturer at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and The University of Hong Kong (HKU). He is currently an adjunct assistant professor at PolyU. Dr Lee believes the use of evidence-based practice is central to providing quality care. He recognizes physiotherapists’ knowledge and experience is a key part of the evidence-based process, therefore, pursued a PhD degree from The Department of Rehabilitation Sciences of PolyU, where he focused his studies in clinical research, with the goal of contributing to the knowledge base that underlies sports physiotherapy. Dr Lee has extensive experience in treating elite atheletes and is therefore appointed Hong Kong Medical Team Delegate for major games and international events such as Beijing Olympic 2008 and Incheon Asian Games 2014. Dr Lee's clinical interests include treating shoulder, wrist, hip, knee, ankle and foot dysfunctions and post-operative rehabilitation which includes recovery from ACL reconstruction and shoulder instability repairs.
